Your go-to Saturday guide: lattes, movement, local gems, and jazz to close it out
⠀⠀
If you know me, you know I’m all about good vibes, great coffee, and supporting local spots. Walnut Hills has truly become one of my favorite places to spend a weekend. It’s full of charm, history, and some of the best little businesses in the city.
⠀⠀
Here’s how I’d spend a Saturday in the neighborhood and if you’re anything like me, you’ll be asking how to live here by the end. Lucky for you, that’s actually an option (more on that at the end!).
⠀⠀
Let’s go.
A scenic view of Walnut Hills street
8:30 AM – The Fix, Always
I’m starting the morning at The Fix Coffeehouse, one of my go-to’s. It’s local, cozy, and always has a good energy. I’m grabbing a latte (obviously) and something sweet to snack on, then finding a sunny window seat to ease into the day.
⠀⠀
9:30 AM – Workout at MADabolic Cincy
Next up: movement. MADabolic offers group strength and conditioning classes that are structured, efficient, and actually fun. It’s high-energy without being overwhelming, and you walk out feeling like you did something.
⠀⠀
11:00 AM – Park Break at Eden
After class, I’ll take a little stroll through Eden Park, it’s right nearby and such a gem. Between Mirror Lake and the overlook, it’s the perfect reset before the rest of the day.
⠀⠀
12:30 PM – Lunch at The Pickled Pig
You can’t go wrong at The Pickled Pig. It’s low-key but so good. Think elevated sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and easygoing vibes.
⠀⠀
2:00 PM – Shopping at ETC
This is my favorite part of the day: browsing local. I stop into ETC Produce & Provisions for local groceries, handmade pantry staples, and little goodies I didn’t know I needed. Spots like this make Walnut Hills what it is.
⠀⠀
4:00 PM – Drinks at Rusk Kitchen & Bar
Need a little pause? Head to Rusk Kitchen & Bar, one of my favorite places to grab a cocktail, especially on the rooftop. Great drinks, great views, and the perfect way to ease into your evening.
⠀⠀
6:30 PM – Dinner at The Aperture
Dinner plans = The Aperture. This place is stunning and the menu is always on point. I love the thoughtful small plates, and the atmosphere makes it feel like a treat without being too over the top. If you haven’t been yet, go.
⠀⠀
8:30 PM – Live Jazz at Café Vivace
And to wrap it up... Café Vivace. Coffee shop by day, jazz lounge by night. It’s warm, cozy, and has the kind of live music that makes you want to stay just a little longer. It’s such a vibe.
⠀⠀
And here’s the thing, this doesn’t have to be just a “once in a while” kind of Saturday.
⠀⠀
I have gorgeous new construction homes right here in Walnut Hills. Modern, low-maintenance, and moments away from everything I just mentioned. If you’ve been dreaming about a move, or just craving something fresh and exciting, this could be your spot.
